As Business Operations Associate at Coffman Employment Lawyers, Hector Hernandez helps manage the firm’s client intake process, often the first point of contact for workers reaching out for help. He makes sure every person who contacts the firm is heard, supported, and guided clearly through the next steps, so they feel informed and cared for from the very first conversation. Behind the scenes, he builds and maintains the processes that keep intake organized and accurate, so attorneys can stay focused on advocating for workers’ rights.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Hector earned degrees in International Relations and History. He competed on the Ohio State Mock Trial Team and was active in the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity. Along the way, he supported tenants at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, contributed to policy research, and worked in administrative and security roles with the Peace Corps and the Mershon Center for International Security Studies.

Hector previously worked as a Logistics Coordinator, developing end-to-end plans for international, domestic, and time-sensitive operations. He helped manage the company’s largest client portfolio, handling the documentation, carrier coordination, and communication that kept work on schedule. The role sharpened his instincts for precision, accountability, and clear communication.

Driven and people-oriented, Hector holds himself to a high standard and builds strong relationships. He takes ownership, follows through, and brings that same energy to the firm. Pairing analytical thinking with a service-minded approach, he is committed to helping the firm run efficiently so every client receives compassionate support.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Hector moved to California in 2016 and later made Ohio his home while attending The Ohio State University. Building a life across three very different places taught him to adapt quickly, connect with people from every background, and thrive in new environments. He carries his roots with him, along with a strong sense of community and purpose.
