Astro Shapes: Lawsuit Filed for Unpaid Overtime Wages

Coffman Employment Lawyers recently filed a lawsuit against Astro Shapes LLC on behalf of its hourly production/manufacturing employees. In the lawsuit, we allege that Astro Shapes LLC has not paid its employees all of the overtime wages owed to them because they did not pay for pre-shift turnover/shift change before the scheduled start of employee shifts.

Astro Shapes is a manufacturer, extruder, and distributor of aluminum and aluminum products with approximately four manufacturing facilities located in Northeast Ohio.

What is the Lawsuit Against Astro Shapes About?

The new unpaid wages lawsuit alleges that Astro Shapes required its hourly production/manufacturing employees to engage in shift turnover/shift relief before these employees’ shifts without paying them for those work hours. Production/manufacturing employees worked for Astro Shapes’ benefit during these meetings but were nonetheless not compensated for their time.
