Overtime Pay Lawsuit Filed Against Mars Petcare US, Inc.

Our overtime lawyers have recently filed a new lawsuit against Mars Petcare US, LLC (“Mars Petcare”). The lawsuit asserts that Mars Petcare has failed to fully compensate for all the overtime wages its hourly production and manufacturing employees may be owed.

What is the Mars Petcare Overtime Lawsuit About?

The lawsuit alleges that Mars Petcare’s hourly production and manufacturing employees often arrive before the scheduled start of their shifts to put on personal protective equipment (“PPE”) and to perform other pre-shift work tasks. Despite these production employees arriving early, the lawsuit claims that Mars Petcare does not pay its workers for their additional time worked because Mars maintains policies or practices that restrict how early employees are permitted to clock in and it also rounds employees time punches.

If an employer rounds employees’ time punches down in the employer’s benefit, it may result in the faulre to compensate employees for all time they have actually worked. The Mars Petcare overtime lawsuit alleges that the policies and practices result in the failure to pay employees for all time they spent working.

What Does the Mars Petcare Overtime Lawsuit Seek?

The overtime lawsuit against Mars Petcare seeks damages available under the Fair Labor Standards Act. These damages include unpaid overtime wages for up to the last three years, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid overtime, attorney’s fees, costs, and any other damages awarded by the Court. The lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Eastern Division under the case name Sotheara Minn v. Mars Petcare US, Inc. The case number is 2:25-cv-10.
